Dr. Rebecca Fonville is a licensed clinical psychologist providing therapy and assessment to individuals and couples of all ages. In treatment, one can expect Dr. Fonville to work collaboratively with clients through relational and empowerment approaches, while past issues are explored that may currently be causing difficulty. Dr. Fonville believes that change occurs through increased awareness, and works with clients to facilitate awareness within themselves and the world around them. Dr. Fonville specializes in the treatment of trauma, mood disorders, identity concerns, spirituality concerns, and relational conflict. She has experience working with sexual trauma survivors, and a special interest in assisting clients on their way to healing from painful pasts.
Dr. Fonville earned her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Chicago. She also holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Harding University.
Dr. Fonville has provided therapy and assessments to children, adolescents, and adults in private practice, public schools, and university settings, and has conducted interpersonal therapy groups and dream groups. She also has significant experiencing with testing for learning disorders, behavior disorders, personality disorders, adoption evaluations, bariatric evaluations, disability evaluations, and more. Dr. Fonville has also spent time researching sex education in the religious community.
