Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Psychology
Laurel B. Wagner, Ph.D.
Director of Training
Dallas Therapy Alliance is a partnership of psychologists committed to providing the highest quality psychological services and training. We are seven licensed psychologists collaborating to provide comprehensive psychological treatments for the diverse population in our community. Alliance psychologists are skilled in a variety of treatment modalities and practice from a relational psychoanalytic orientation. An integral value of our group practice is the education of future generations of psychologists in the theory and practice of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
The Dallas Therapy Alliance Postdoctoral Fellowship is a full-time, one-year training program in psychoanalytic psychology. The Fellowship is uniquely positioned in a group practice and serves as an opportunity for specialized training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and assessment while gaining valuable experience in a private practice setting. Supervision is provided by licensed, clinical and counseling psychologists with varying specialties. Fellows receive both individual and group supervision.
Clinical Training Opportunities
Fellows will learn how to integrate a variety of treatment modalities, such as psychoanalytic psychotherapy, reparative attachment therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. This psychoanalytically-contained, integrative approach positions fellows to work with patients suffering from a wide array of psychological problems, including major mental illness and severe personality pathology.
Fellows will have opportunities for training in multiple psychotherapy relationships, such as individual, couples, family, group and play therapies.
Opportunities for assessment training include, cognitive, personality, and therapeutic assessments for adults and children. Types of assessments include, intelligence, achievement, learning differences, ADHD, self-report and performance-based personality measures.
Compensation will be commission-based. Details of compensation will be discussed at the time of the interview.
The application deadline is February 28th, 2017. Interviews will take place in February.
